About Us

Patrick and I purchased our first Shar-Pei in 1982. The following year we started showing and have been showing ever since.  We only have litters occasionally and all litters are raised inside our home around our grandchildren.  We usually only breed when we want to get back in the show ring, thus we only have litters periodically.

The health of our dogs is very important to us.  In an endeavor to raise the healthiest dogs we can, prior to any breeding we research the pedigrees of both parents to try to avoid potential problems.  We also X-ray for hips and elbow dysplasia and never breed a dog or bitch that shows any signs of ill health (swollen hock syndrome, fevers, Amyloidosis, thyroid problems, etc.). We feel that by doing this we are doing all that we can to reduce the odds that our pups will have health problems down the line.

Patrick and I joined the Desert to the Sea Chinese Shar-Pei Club (a local club) and the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America (The National Club) in 1983.   We remain current, active members of both clubs to this day.  By staying active in the two clubs we can keep abreast of current health problems, their treatments, and  when possible, the  cures. We would be honored to sponsor you for either of these great clubs.   If you would like to join either club. Just contact us and we will get an application to you.
